Nayé Bathily
Manager, The World Bank

Leona started working with Nayé when she felt she had reached a ceiling in her career at the World Bank in Paris. She believed she needed to get a graduate degree to advance. Her dream was to obtain a Master’s of International Development at the Harvard Kennedy School. However, when she looked at the school’s statistics which indicated that only two percent of those who applied were admitted, she thought it was out of reach for her. Leona convinced her that she was a strong candidate and worked with her to develop a strong application package and she was admitted! Obtaining a Master’s degree from Harvard was the catalyst that enabled her to be promoted into her current managerial role.

Robyn Broughton

Leona worked with Robyn while she was a director with a government agency. She shares that she “had the most amazing experience with Leona” and adds that it made her a stronger communicator, a more positive and a more effective leader. As a result, she wanted everyone else around her to have the same experience and several of her team members received coaching from Leona. Robyn appreciated Leona’s calm presence and her guidance in helping her pause and think rather than responding impulsively, which improved her relationships at work and at home. In addition, Leona supported Robyn in prioritizing self-care and identified walking meetings as a strategy to engage in the outdoor physical activity she was missing.
